Attitude at Altitude – an evening of talks to inspire, took place at Thornden Hall, Chandlers Ford in October this year. Three hours of talks by two high-flying women (quite literally).  Shadi Ganjavian-Connor and Mandy Hickson, not only inspired the room but raised an impressive £5436.09 for our #2MillionSteps appeal.

The evening, compered by the wonderful Tanya Grant & Claire Wakeford (Wise & Gorgeous), saw Shadi speak about her summit of The Matterhorn in Switzerland. This was an extreme endeavour indeed, especially considering Shadi is terrified of heights! Shadi took on this incredible challenge with a fundraising goal as high as the mountain itself – she believes that if you dream big, tackle challenges and work as a team you can overcome your fears and achieve anything in life.

Mandy Hickson talked about her life as a Tornado pilot in the RAF and how she was awarded a flying scholarship at the age of 17 which led her to the front-line in Afghanistan.

Thank you from The Murray Parish Trust

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in organising this event, donated prizes in the auction and came along to make the evening so very special.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mandy, Shadi, Tanya & Claire for sharing such inspiration and championing our #2MillionSteps appeal. Thanks to Helen Bartlet who helped organise the event and raffle and Jenny Andersson for coming all the way from Sweden to attend this event as well as making an extremely generous personal donation.

Huge thanks to Ahmad Tea, Sparks Ellison and Rees Leisure for sponsoring the evening and Thornden Hall for providing the venue.
