About Blissfields

Blissfields has been hosting sold-out crowds in its small but perfectly formed mini wilderness since 2001. It was proudly the first ever festival headline performances for Bastille and Everything Everything, and has over recent years hosted many acclaimed and legendary acts including Mumford & Sons, Wolf Alice, Dizzee Rascal, Laura Marling, Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, Years & Years, Charli XCX, John Grant, The Horrors, London Grammar, Mystery Jets , Jake Bugg, and Tune-Yards to name a few.

The family friendly festival for forward thinking music fans will be inviting many of its collaborators back this year including the AIF Award Winners’ Hidden Hedge, who claimed the prize for most Unique Festival Arena of the year. Once again they’ll be building a dystopia within utopia … crash-landing its Boeing cockpit into a VJ stage. This will also see a return of the new BAY area – a beach installation for big and little kids alike – moving to a new home on site.

Camping at Blissfields 2017

The Blissfields campsite is spacious and well laid out, with areas for families, live-in vehicles, boutique camping and general camping.

Wide festoon lit walkways allow easy access around the camping and into the arena and there will be a general store, cafe and first aid provision within the campsite.

As well as the normal festival portable toilets, you will have the option to upgrade to “posh” loos and showers by buying a pass at the weekend. Water points and wash up areas are also easily accessible.

Rubbish and recycle bins will be readily available to help keep the event and site tidy.

The Family Friendly Festival

Due to its high level of diverse programming Blissfields is classed as off site learning which means that parents can request a letter for schools that means that no days are marked as absent while at the event. The Craft Area and an all new A-Z Arena will be hosting immersive and hands-on activities across the weekend, with some theatrical twists, while The Larch  will stage low-key performance  by day and outrageous parties at night including the Silent Disco.

The festival within a festival for little Blissfieldians and their families, Angel Gardens is back in 2017 programming a non-stop multi venue experience for any age. Praised with a Gold Award by Festival Kidz, the area will see art, fantasy, sport, dance, music, dress -up, education and even some politics turned into fun and games designed to engage and entertain.
