Back in October 2016 Darius & Friends took part in several races at the Bournemouth Marathon Festival to raise money for The Murray Parish Trust.
We are hugely proud to announce that this team of nine; Darius Khwaja, Sabrina Gurling, Catherine Payne, Dawn Fisk, Rachel Dennys, Nick Duguid, Laura Duguid, Joe Brown and Debbie Tully, raised just over £6,000!
These ‘running steps’ go towards our #2MillionSteps nationwide appeal, which aims to raise £2 million over two years to build a life-saving Children’s Accident & Emergency (Trauma) department at Southampton University Hospital. This state of the art paediatric facility will service eight counties across the South of England and the Channel Islands.
The runners competed in Full and Half Marathons during the event on 1st/2nd of October.
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all that took part – What a fantastic achievement!
