Today has been an incredible day for the trust.  After successfully raising over £300,000 for 2 new bed spaces for the PICU, The Murray Parish Trust has taken on its latest challenge of raising £4million for a brand new Paediatric Emergency and Trauma Department (A&E), but first we had to lobby the Chancellor to green light this venture by pledging to match-fund us if we raised the first £2 million.

Letter from George Osborne

After a huge #SayYesGeorge campaign backed by local MP’s, newspapers, celebrities and communities alike, we are delighted to be able to report that George Osborne announced in the spring budget that the treasury will guarantee the funds in match funding for this incredible cause. Exciting times indeed but we now need to get to work and we need your help to raise these funds as this new, life saving department simply cannot exist without you. The government have put their faith in us by pledging £2 million, we are asking you to do the same by considering a donation to this most worthy of causes.

“There is only one way to numb the pain of losing a child and that is to help other children. To try and make a difference to their lives and help give them the future they deserve.”

Thank you all so much for your support.
