We’ve raised over £160,000 so far!

Our hugely popular summer art trail has raised an incredible amount so far, helping to support the development of two brand new PICU isolation cubicles for Southampton Children’s Hospital.

We still have a few fundraising opportunities as part of the Hares of Hampshire project, including the sale of the Hamish Mackie ‘Boxing Hares’ scultpure, so watch this space for updates on the final amount raised!

About Hares of Hampshire

Explore, Learn & Celebrate

Hares of Hampshire took place in the great cities of Winchester and Southampton in the summer of 2022, brought to you by The Murray Parish Trust and Wild In Art.

For ten weeks, Winchester and Southampton streets, parks and public spaces were brought to life with an exhibition of magnificent hares. Each giant sculpture was individually designed and beautifully created, showcasing the wealth of artistic talent the county has to offer – while positively contributing to the economic, cultural and social life of the area.

Hares of Hampshire represented the biggest art event that Winchester and Southampton had ever seen, creating a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for everyone to enjoy whilst exploring these great cities. The trail was an amazing opportunity for locals and visitors to be inspired, get creative and celebrate the history and culture of Hampshire.

Thank you for hopping along!

From our huge list of amazing sponsors to the thousands of happy trailers who explored the streets of Winchester & Southampton this summer, we cannot thank you enough for helping to make Hares of Hampshire such a successful event!

Our Grand Auction also helped to raise vital funds for this project, as well as finding forever homes for these wonderful pieces of art, with giant Hares hopping away to places all across the country at the end of September.
