It was another fantastic year at the Highclere Castle Easter Trail, with hundreds of children and their families on the hunt for clues around the stunning home of Downton Abbey, in search of all those all important chocolate treats.
We were extremely lucky to have such beautiful weather on April 16th, which made the whole event even more enjoyable for everyone who came along to join in the fun.
Providing entertainment on the day were three fabulous princesses, courtesy of ‘My Little Princess Parties‘ (who you may recall seeing on the BBC’s Dragon’s Den) as well as the tallest policeman we’ve ever met & a very friendly group of Stormtroopers!
And we can’t forget about the wonderful Easter Bonnet parade, which saw some ‘cracking’ headwear on display. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we managed to raise over £2,000 on the day!
Thank you so much to everyone who came along and made the event as memorable as ever – we’re looking forward to next year’s trail already.
“What a fabulous day! It was wonderful to see so many happy faces in the sunshine and to have raised such a fantastic amount to help support Southampton Children’s Hospital. A big thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy some Easter fun!” – Sarah Parish
A special thank you goes out to The Meaningful Chocolate Company who very kindly donated the Easter Eggs for the trail and to Lady Carnarvon for making us the chosen charity for the trail.
And a huge thanks as always to our incredible team of volunteers who helped us on the day – we are so grateful for your support.
