On Monday 18th May 2015, Sarah and Jim were delighted to hand over a cheque for £30,000 to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton General Hospital.

Sarah Parish commented:

Having experienced first hand the incredible work of the PICU team, James and I try to dedicate what little time we have off the screen and theatre to raising the vital funds for this amazing cause. We owe our sincere thanks to all our generous supporters without whom we could not reach our fund-raising goals.

The £30,000 handed over today will go directly towards the expansion of the PICU at Southampton General Hospital by providing 2 much needed new bed spaces. This will enable more critically ill children from across the whole of the South to receive the world class critical care provided by the team.

Dr Iain Macintosh – PICU Director commented:

We are grateful for the support that Sarah and Jim have given us over the years; both through their fundraising and their patronage. After the busiest winter we have ever had, we have to ensure that we have the capacity to meet the needs of critically ill children next winter. This money will enable us to achieve that.”
