We are thrilled to announce that NFU Mutual Winchester & Wickham Branch have donated a grand total of £9,615.62 in support of The Murray Parish Trust.
“Many of us have families within the agency and nothing means more in the world to you than your children and their health. So if we can help just one child in their fight to recover or to ease pain through their illness, then every penny we have donated is worth it.”
In April 2020 they were due to sponsor our annual Bluebell Walk event which was sadly cancelled due to Covid restrictions, however in lieu of sponsorship NFU Mutual kindly donated £3,164.00 towards our NHS Heroes Appeal which went on to raise over £11k for staff at University Hospital Southampton.

NFU Mutual has also donated a further £6,451.62 towards the incredible Gobi 500 challenge from the Wild Wheelchairs Project and Alex Lewis Trust which is also raising funds for The Murray Parish Trust.

James Prewett, Senior Agent at NFU Mutual, will be joining the crew as quadruple amputee Alex Lewis, heads out to Mongolia next year to handcycle 500km through the Gobi Desert and the Mongolian plains over 10 days. James and the support team will be there to help guide and negotiate a way through the desert which at times will be incredibly tough terrain for the mountain bikes, let alone Alex’s four wheel handcycle, which was specifically designed and built for him by team of students at the University of Southampton.
“This trip is going to put the entire team to the test both physically and mentally however life is about accepting challenges, choosing to keep moving forward and that’s what we will do, one pedal at a time whilst savouring the journey in the knowledge that we will be raising money for such a fabulous charity.”
