ROBERT HARDY REMEMBERS CHURCHILL’S WILDERNESS YEARS – 8th July Theatre Royal, Winchester.

Robert Hardy CBE insists he’s more of a historian of the Longbow than he is a national treasure of stage and screen. His lengthy career and awards might suggest otherwise, but one thing that cannot be disputed is his love & knowledge of all things Churchill (he’s played him a record 9 times!).

Join actor James Murray in a relaxed Q & A as he attempts to cajole this precious wisdom from Robert using his BAFTA winning performance in ‘The Wilderness Years’ as a rough guide. All proceeds from this performance will go to The Murray Parish Trust – raising money for a new children’s Emergency Department at Southampton University Hospital.

Robert Hardy Remembers Churchill’s Wilderness Years is part of The Winchester Festival 2016. This year’s festival begins with an opening concert on a grand scale in Winchester Cathedral on the 1st July heralding nine days of music, talks and drama across the city.

Tickets are available from 3rd May: Theatre Royal Box Office or by calling 01962 840 440
