Sarah Parish goes ‘Back to School’ – Donation from Lee-on-Solent Junior School

School 2Sarah Parish went back to school last week when she visited the pupils and staff at Lee-on-Solent Junior School on Monday 25th April to thank them for their amazing fundraising efforts.

During their Christmas celebrations last year, the pupils held two collections to raise money for the charity and the staff chose to make donations rather than sending Christmas cards to each other. The children collected money at the Civil Service concert in St Faith’s church, Lee-on-Solent and in the town’s High Street, where Florrie Cotterill (head girl) and Thomas Owens (head boy) had the honour of switching on the Christmas lights!

Sarah Parish gave a speech and showed a short film to the children about the charity and afterwards was presented with a cheque for the grand total of £227.77 for The Murray Parish Trust.
A big thank you to Mr Martin (deputy head teacher) and the pupils, parents and staff of Lee-on-Solent Junior School who have been so thoughtful and generous in their fundraising achievement.

The Murray Parish Trust is raising £2 million to build a vital Children’s A&E Department at Southampton University Hospital, covering the whole of the Wessex area. Find out how you can Get Involved.
