Like everyone, we at The Murray Parish Trust are devastated by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Whilst our iMRI Suite Appeal continues, we have expanded our resources to respond to the crisis.

On Monday 23rd March we began fundraising to support frontline NHS staff fighting the virus at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.  As our local NHS heroes face unimaginable challenges, it’s vital to help boost their morale, support their mental health and well-being, and above all, to show just how much we all appreciate all their tireless work caring for and protecting our community.

With 11,000 staff at UHS you can imagine how much we need to continue to help source and purchase vital items to make frontline workers’ lives just a little easier.  Amongst other things, your money is being used to fund wellbeing packs including refreshments and snacks, hand creams, papers, radios, and the refurbishment of a safe space for staff to get mental health support.  We are constantly listening to and responding to what staff themselves say will make a real difference to them, so you can be sure that your donation will not only be swiftly used, but used where it is needed most.

  • Boost staff morale. Your gift can give them a free brew or juice when they need one most.
  • Support their mental health and wellbeing. Your donation will help our amazing staff get looked after as they look after our community.
  • Help where the need is greatest. We’ll make sure your gift goes where staff need it most.

Funds raised for this appeal have been going towards boosting staff morale, supporting their mental health and well-being and have included free hot meals on site. Best of all, your gift will show just how much we all appreciate all the staff’s tireless work caring and protecting our community.

We are hugely excited to be part of the Aviva Community Fund.

Every three months Aviva split £250,000 among their UK employees to donate to the projects that matter to them most.

The power is in the hands of Aviva employees to decide how the Aviva Community Fund money is distributed so let’s make them choose The Murray Parish Trust and our NHS Frontline Staff Appeal.

Jason Barling (Paediatric Consultant) and Jane Beyreuther (Paediatric A&E Consultant) both from University Hospital Southampton have recorded these short messages for us.
