The Murray Parish Trust were thrilled to be invited to Number 10 Downing Street on Monday 5th February. The team attended a Reception hosted by the Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to celebrate the work of  Charities in the United Kingdom.

It was a real honour and privilege to be chosen to represent the incredible charity work that takes place every day in the United Kingdom and alongside representatives from some wonderful charities to be acknowledged for the work that we do. Visiting Number 10 is a unique experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed viewing the iconic portrait staircase, rooms and heritage of one of the most famous houses in the world!

The Murray Parish Trust have worked hard alongside Southampton Hospital Charity in our latest mission to raise £2 Million to build a brand new Children’s Emergency Department in Southampton. We are immensely  proud to have reached the half way point in our our #2MillionSteps appeal and are extremely grateful for the support  we have been shown for this worthy cause so far.

In attendance: Sarah Parish, James Murray, Samantha Robson, Shadi Ganjavian-Connor (TMPT Ambassador and fundraiser), Nadine Collinson (Fundraiser and volunteer), Jason Barling (Child Health Clinical Lead, Consultant Paediatric Emergency Medicine), Karen Grant (Lead Matron, Emergency Department), Tim Jobling (Trustee of Barker-Mill Foundation), Tracey Edwards (fundraiser and volunteer)
